Britain's unemployment rate fell unexpectedly, official data showed Tuesday, ahead of a likely hit to the job market from the Middle East war's economic fall-out. The unemployment rate dropped to 4.9 percent in the three months to February, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said in a statement.
