Inflation jumped in Canada in March, lifted by soaring energy prices linked to the Middle East war, official data showed Monday. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 2.4 percent from the same month last year, compared to 1.8 percent in February. Month-over-month, consumer prices rose 0.9 percent, according to Statistics Canada. Gasoline prices increased 5.9 percent from a year ago and surged 21.2 percent month-over-month, the largest monthly incre......
