Germany on Wednesday called on Israel to limit its campaign in Lebanon to "self-defence" after the Israeli government insisted that the Iran war truce does not include Lebanon. Israel renewed its strikes on south Lebanon despite the Iran-backed Hezbollah group not claiming any operations since Tuesday 2200 GMT.
