US Seeking to Remove Cuba's Leader Without Changing Political System - Reports

MOSCOW, March 17 (RIA Novosti) - The United States wants to remove Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel from power, but will leave the next steps up to the Cubans, The New York Times newspaper reported, citing sources. Washington is not currently seeking any action against the Castro family, but has made it clear to Havana that no deal will be reached between the two countries as long as Diaz-Canel remains in office, the report said on Monday.
