Mining sector urged to integrate GBV response into safety protocols

CAPE TOWN, 12 FEB (NAMPA) – The mining industry has been urged to integrate gender-based violence (GBV) into core safety management systems to address the issue as a material business risk and governance priority.
The strategy was discussed during a session on catalysing sector-wide action on GBV at the African Mining Indaba in Cape Town, South Africa, on Wednesday.
