Dusseldorf (dpa) - Charlotte Merz, wife of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, was briefly taken to hospital after crashing during a bike tour with her husband last weekend, a government spokeswoman confirmed on Tuesday. The Merzes were cycling in their home town of Arnsberg, in western Germany, on Saturday afternoon, when the accident happened.
