Siegen, Germany (dpa) - The trial of a German woman accused of having isolated her young daughter from the outside world for seven years was restarted on Monday, after the girl's grandfather failed to appear in court for the initial proceedings. The 49-year-old woman faces charges of of concealing, abusing and causing injury to her daughter at a family home in western Germany since the child was about 1 year old.
