South Africa to withdraw troops from UN peacekeeping mission in DR Congo

JOHANNESBURG, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) -- South Africa has decided to withdraw its troop contribution from the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO), the South African Presidency said in a statement on Sunday. According to the statement, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa informed UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres of the decision over a phone call on Jan. 12, noting that it follows......
