A South Sudanese dissident living in exile in the United States has been sentenced to nearly four years in prison for attempting to traffic military-grade weapons to his country in order to carry out a coup, US authorities announced. Peter Biar Ajak, a government critic and Harvard-educated economist who has worked for the World Bank, was arrested in March 2024 along with Abraham Chol Keech, a South Sudanese national who had become a US citizen.......
