TOKYO, February 2 (RIA Novosti) - Japan has successfully extracted rare-earth mud from a depth of 4 miles within its exclusive economic zone near Minami-Tori-shima Island, Japanese Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Yohei Matsumoto said.
