Indian rupee hits record low of 91.73 against USD

NEW DELHI, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- The Indian rupee Wednesday recorded a record low as it hit 91.73 against the U.S. dollar. The rupee depreciated 76 paise to an all-time low of 91.73 against dollar in early trade, weighed down by steady dollar demand and a cautious global mood. The rupee recorded its previous all-time low of 91.14 on Dec. 16, 2025, and so far this month, the local unit has fallen by 1.50 percent. According to forex traders,......
