Man denied bail after alleged theft from Kavango West governor

RUNDU, 13 JAN (NAMPA) – A 22-year-old man accused of breaking into the home of Kavango West Governor Verna Sinimbo was denied bail when he appeared in the Rundu Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Andreas Muyongo Mungongi, who was reportedly employed as a labourer for the governor, faces formal charges of housebreaking with intent to steal and theft.
The alleged incident occurred on 03 January 2026 at Simwege village in the Kavango West Region.
