UN Security Council renews mandate of counter-terrorism body

UNITED NATIONS, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- The UN Security Council on Monday adopted a resolution to renew the mandate of the Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED) until Jan. 5, 2029. CTED is a UN Secretariat body that assists the Security Council subsidiary agency of the Counter-Terrorism Committee (CTC).
