The Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) is a US initiative for the stabilisation of post-war Gaza following the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas that came into effect in October. About 150 US soldiers are now based in a large warehouse in the southern Israeli city of Kiryat Gat, about 20 kilometres (12 miles) from the Gaza Strip.
