UN Chief Condemns Coup Attempt in Benin, Warns of Regional Instability

UNITED NATIONS, December 8 (RIA Novosti) - United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Monday condemned the attempted coup in Benin, calling it a threat to democracy and regional stability. "I am deeply concerned by the attempt to unconstitutionally seize power in Benin. I condemn any attempt to undermine democratic governance in Benin, which could also further threaten the stability of the region​​​. I call for full respect for the rule......
