KATIMA MULILO, 05 December 2025 - Bernard Sisamu (seated middle) the Constituency Councillor for Kabbe North was elected as Chairperson of the Management Committee of the Zambezi Regional Council. KATIMA MULILO, 06 DEC (NAMPA) - Kabende Kabende was on Friday elected as the new mayor of the Katima Mulilo Town Council after an official swearing-in ceremony that was presided over by Magistrate Davy Kambinda.
The Swapo Party secured a majority, winning five of the seven seats on the town council. Kabende, who was fifth on the party's list, was voted in as mayor and will be deputised by Charity Matongo-Mabuku.
