The EU executive on Wednesday proposed giving companies more time to apply its rules on "high-risk" artificial intelligence, in response to European and US pressure to loosen the regulation. The European Union's new AI rules entered into force last year but Brussels said businesses -- which had called for a pause in enforcement -- should have until December 2027 instead of August 2026 to comply with regulations on high-risk models. raz/ec/tw ...
