U.S. stocks close lower

NEW YORK, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended lower on Tuesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 251.44 points, or 0.53 percent, to 47,085.24. The S&P 500 sank 80.42 points, or 1.17 percent, to 6,771.55. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 486.09 points, or 2.04 percent, to close at 23,348.64. Seven of the 11 primary S&P 500 sectors ended lower, with technology and consumer discretionary leading the laggards by losing 2.27 percent and 1.8......
