Namibia joins global efforts to combat cybercrime

WINDHOEK, 27 OCT – Namibia has strengthened its commitment to global cooperation in combating cyber threats by signing the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime in Hanoi, Vietnam, on Sunday.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Emma Theofelus, who represented President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, said the convention comes at a crucial time as Namibia finalises its national Cybercrime Bill.
