WASHINGTON, October 17 (RIA Novosti) - Crude prices were headed for a third straight weekly loss on Friday amid continuous climbs in oil stockpiles versus relatively smaller pickups in fuel demand. By 9:05 a.m. Eastern US Time (13:05 GMT), New York-traded West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was up 3 cents, or 0.05%, at $57.49 per barrel after Thursday’s loss of 1.4%.
