Roots founder urges Namibia to produce its own food

STAMPRIET, 16 OCT (NAMPA) - Namibians should produce their own food to lessen the nation’s dependence on imports, Roots Agricultural Project founder Johan Rieckert said on Wednesday.
Speaking during Vice President Lucia Witbooi’s visit to the agricultural project at Stampriet, Rieckert said Namibia currently imports 85 per cent of its food primarily from South Africa, affecting the country’s economy. This reliance significantly affects the countr...
