Environment cycling activists arrive in Namibia

KATIMA MULILO, 15 October 2025 - Riding to COP 30, the three cyclists, 30-year-old Derrick Kidarasi from Kenya, 30-year-old Dean Meekson from Zambia and 24-year old Enock Kitheka from Kenya have cycled over 3 200 kilometers from Kenya to the Wenela border post in Namibia on electric bicycles in an effort to send a clear message on ways to develop strategies for reducing emissions via what they term green transportation.

KATIMA MULILO, 15 OCT (NAMPA) – Zambezi Regional Commander, Commissioner Andreas Shilelo, on Wednesday, briefly received and welcomed three environment cycling activists who arrived in Namibia on from Kenya.
The three, using electric bicycles, had been cycling over 3 200 kilometres from Kenya, to send a clear message on possible ways to develop strategies that would reduce emissions via what they term green transportation.
