WINDHOEK, 15 OCT (NAMPA) – The Minister of Health and Social Services, Dr Esperance Luvindao, on Tuesday tabled the 2025 Mental Health Bill in the National Assembly, seeking to repeal and replace the existing Mental Health Act of 1973.
Namibia continues to battle severe mental health challenges, with over 100 000 recorded cases and more than 540 suicides during the 2024/2025 financial year.
