Türkiye detains 78 in raids targeting organized crime

ANKARA, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- Turkish gendarmerie units have detained 78 suspects during operations targeting seven separate organized crime organizations based in seven provinces, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said Tuesday. In a post on the social platform X, Yerlikaya said 46 of the suspects had been formally arrested while 27 were placed under judicial control. The remaining cases are still being processed.
