German culture minister marks Hamas attack as 'day of pain'

Berlin (dpa) - German Culture Minister Wolfram Weimer expressed solidarity with the victims of Hamas's attack on Israel and their families on the second anniversary of the assault, calling October 7 "a day of pain" for Israel and for Jews around the world. Weimer said he was also thinking of those still held hostage in Gaza and their relatives. "For their families, these have been two unbearable years of fear and despair," he said in a statement......
