Turkey Paid $26Bln for Energy Imports in First 8 Months - Erdogan

ANKARA, October 6 (RIA Novosti) - Turkey spent $26 billion on energy imports in the first eight months of 2025, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday. "In the first eight months of this year alone, we paid $26 billion for energy imports. We are making every effort to reduce this amount," Erdogan said when addressing the Energy Efficiency Forum and Exhibition in Istanbul​​​.
