Berlin Philharmonic to stage Wagner's Ring cycle at Salzburg festival

Vienna (dpa) - The Berlin Philharmonic is set to stage operas by German composer Richard Wagner at the renowned Salzburg Easter Festival in Austria over the coming years. The orchestra, led by Russian-Austrian chief conductor Kirill Petrenko, is to perform Wagner's epic "The Ring of the Nibelung," the festival announced on Monday.
