Hawala accorded hero's funeral

KATIMA MULILO, 26 AUG (NAMPA) – President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has announced that Lieutenant General Salomon Dumeni Hawala will be honoured with a hero’s funeral on 06 September 2025.
Hawala, a prominent liberation hero, served as a leader of the People's Liberation Army of Namibia (PLAN) and was the second chief of the Namibian Defence Force.
He died on 11 August at the age of 89.
