OMUTHIYA, 20 AUG (NAMPA) - The Oshikoto Regional Council has noted an increase in fraud where scammers, pretending to be council employees, are demanding payments in exchange for procurement contracts.
In an interview with Nampa on Tuesday, Petrus Nehale, the council’s public relations officer, said scammers ask bidders, service providers, and the public to submit quotations and make payments to secure bid awards.
