Indigenous communities deserve AI protection, not exploitation: Witbooi

TSUMEB, 11 AUG (NAMPA) – Vice President Lucia Witbooi has called for artificial intelligence to be used as a tool for empowerment rather than exploitation of indigenous communities.
She was speaking at the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples celebration held in Tsumeb under the theme ‘Indigenous Peoples and AI: Defending Rights, Shaping Futures,’ on Saturday.
