India's West Bengal witnesses 25 drowning deaths daily: survey

NEW DELHI, July 26 (Xinhua) -- At least 25 drowning deaths are reported on average every day in the eastern Indian state of West Bengal, with half of the victims being children, a recent survey revealed. The findings of study, conducted by a non-governmental organization Child in Need Institute, and The George Institute for Global Health, were released in Kolkata on Friday on the occasion of World Drowning Prevention Day.
