MOSCOW, July 17 (RIA Novosti) - The annual inflation rate in the euro area accelerated to 2% in June from 1.9% in May, but remained lower than the 2.5% recorded a year earlier, the European Statistical Office (Eurostat) said on Thursday. The figure matched the preliminary estimate released in early July. "The euro area annual inflation rate was 2.0% in June 2025, up from 1.9% in May.
