Death Toll in Hypermarket Fire in Eastern Iraq Rises to 61 - Interior Ministry

DOHA, July 17 (RIA Novosti) - The death toll as a result of a fire in a hypermarket in the city of Kut eastern Iraq has increased to 61, with over 45 people rescued, the Iraqi Interior Ministry said on Thursday. "The death toll from the fire at a shopping mall in Kut has risen to 61. More than 45 people trapped in the burned-out building have been rescued," the ministry said in a statement, as quoted by the INA news agency....
