UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced Monday that Britain was committed to a five percent defence spending pledge set to be announced by NATO at a summit in the Netherlands. Starmer said the hike was "an opportunity to deepen our commitment to NATO", setting a target date of 2035, in line with a deal set to be announced at the alliance get-together in The Hague. pdh/jwp/yad ...
