US National Weather Service Warns of Several Heat Records in Midwest, Mid-Atlantic

WASHINGTON, June 23 (RIA Novosti) – The US National Weather Service (NWS) warned on Monday that the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions of the country will face several heat records in the following days. "High temperatures in the 90s to 100s [ranging between about 32 and 38 °C] and lows in the 70s to low 80s [between 21 and 27 °C] will break numerous records over the next several days," the warning said.
