Police-handled stalking cases hit record high in Japan

TOKYO, June 5 (Xinhua) -- The number of stalking cases in Japan in which police intervened reached a record high of 1,341 in 2024, rising by 260 cases, or 24.1 percent, from the previous year, according to data released Thursday by the National Police Agency (NPA).
