NEW YORK, June 4 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Wednesday. The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased by 0.45 percent to 98.786 at 3:00 p.m. (1900 GMT). In late New York trading, the euro rose to 1.1421 U.S. dollars from 1.1375 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound added to 1.3558 dollars from 1.3525 dollars in the previous session.
