Munich (dpa) - A former German parliamentarian has told a court of his involvement in an alleged corruption case involving Azerbaijan, but he later told dpa he was still innocent of a crime. According to the indictment, Azerbaijan allegedly made successful efforts over a number of years to influence the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in its favour, with the help of cash payments to politicians.
