London (PA Media/dpa) - The 2031 and 2035 Women's World Cup will feature 48 teams, FIFA has announced. The FIFA Council voted on Friday to expand the competition from the 2031 finals onwards. The 2027 event in Brazil will have 32 teams. The 2031 tournament is set to be awarded to the United States with support from other nations in the region. The 2035 edition is poised to be in the UK.
