German copper producer Aurubis reports rise in first-half profit

Hamburg (dpa) - German copper producer Aurubis on Thursday reported a rise in first-half profits. The company's bottom line totalled ?419 million ($473 million), or ?9.59 per share, compared to last year's ?140 million, or ?3.21 per share. Revenue rose 11.3% to ?9.184 billion from ?8.249 billion in the previous first half.
