German chemical firm Henkel reports drop in sales in first quarter

Frankfurt (dpa) - German chemical and consumer goods company Henkel AG & Co KGaA has reported a drop in sales in the first quarter of the year compared to the same period of the previous year. Henkel reported on Thursday that its first-quarter group sales fell 5.2% to ?5.24 billion ($5.91 billion) from last year's ?5.32 billion. Organic sales dropped 1%.
