Nama youth reject Genocide Remembrance Day meeting

GOBABIS, 24 APR (NAMPA) - The Nama Youth of Namibia have rejected the Genocide Remembrance Day meeting held in Keetmanshoop in the ||Kharas Region on Tuesday.
The meetings, spearheaded by Vice President Lucia Witbooi, form part of her engagement with traditional leaders from the affected communities on the commemoration of the day, in the Omaheke, Otjozondjupa, Hardap, ||Kharas, Erongo, Kunene and Khomas regions.

WINDHOEK, 04 June 2026 - The Roads Authority (RA) will install speed humps at selected locations along the B1 Western Bypass and a section of the A1 Road in the Khomas Region from Friday, following a rise in pedestrian-related crashes that have claimed lives on both routes. The installation covers the B1 Western Bypass between the Independence Avenue Interchange near Katutura Hospital and the Lafrenz Interchange, as well as the A1 Road between Prosperita and the Windhoek Country Club Resort.
