WINDHOEK, 16 APR (NAMPA) – The new United States (US) tariffs highlight the urgent need for African countries to strengthen trade among themselves, Dr Samuel Maimbo, Zambia’s candidate for the African Development Bank (AfDB) presidency, has said.
US President Donald Trump has announced sweeping tariffs on almost all countries including Africa, with a baseline 10 per cent tariff on exports to the US and much higher rates for some nations.
