Damaged sewerage system raises health concerns in Hoachanas

MARIENTAL, 10 APR (NAMPA) – Hoachanas residents say the damaged sewerage system that has not been repaired for three years, poses a health risk to the community.
Kenneth Rheent, a resident of the Hoachanas settlement, which is located some 55 kilometres northeast of Kalkrand in the Hardap Region, told Nampa on Thursday the sewerage manholes are blocked with sewage and filled with stagnant water for the past two to three years.
