Nandi-Ndaitwah elected as Swapo president

WINDHOEK, 08 MAR (NAMPA) - The Swapo party at its sixth extra-ordinary congress on Saturday elected Namibia’s President-elect, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah as the party’s president, filling the position which became vacant following the passing of President Hage Geingob in February 2024.
Geingob’s term was set to end in 2027.
Her victory was announced by returning officer Fillemon Wise Immanuel during the congress held in Windhoek.
