Pensioner killed at Bravo in Kavango West Region

NKURENKURU, 27 FEB (NAMPA) - A 74-year-old man died instantly after he was stabbed with a spear at the Bravo Settlement in the Kavango West Region on Wednesday.
Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga said the incident occurred around 18h00 and the deceased has been identified as Kuip Daniel.
He was stabbed in the ribs and on the neck. It is alleged that the victim and suspect lived in the same homestead.
A 38-year-old male suspect has been arrested and is being detained at the Tsintabis police station.
The deceased’s next of kin have been informed and police investigations continue.
In a separate incident in the same region, 21-year-old August Ndimna allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself around 07h00 on Thursday at Kakuro village.
Muronga said the body of the deceased was found hanging from a tree.
His next of kin have been informed.
The remains were transported to the Nkurenkuru police mortuary awaiting an autopsy.
