Namibian roads claim 80 lives during festive period

WINDHOEK, 07 JAN (NAMPA) – Namibia has over the festive period recorded 80 deaths from 472 road crashes and 918 injuries between 15 November last year and 05 January 2025.
The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in a report on Monday indicated that multiple factors contributed to the road accidents including driver behaviour, and fatigue, drunk driving, speeding, reckless and negligent driving, and disobeying traffic rules.
