Man escapes from custody at Nkurenkuru

NKURENKURU, 06 JAN (NAMPA) - A 27-year-old man who escaped from custody at Nkurenkuru in the Kavango West Region was still on the run on Monday.
He was arrested on 14 December 2024 after allegedly being found in possession of 10 parcels of cannabis valued at N.dollars 206.
According to Deputy Commissioner Johannes Kudumo, the incident occurred around 23h15 on Saturday at the Nkurenkuru Lutheran Health Centre, where he was receiving medical treatment.
Kudumo said the exact circumstances surrounding the escape are still to be determined.
Police investigations continue.
