WINDHOEK, 03 DEC (NAMPA) - The commemoration of World Aids Day has been postponed, Ministry of Health and Social Services Executive Director Ben Nangombe announced on Tuesday.
The commemoration, initially set for 06 December 2024 in Rundu, Kavango East, will now take place on 13 December 2023, Nangombe said in a media release.
“The Ministry of Health and Social Services acknowledges the unwavering commitment of our esteemed stakeholders in the fight against HIV in Namibia. We deeply appreciate the efforts, support, and contributions made toward the preparation of the World Aids Day commemoration,” he said.
The executive director said the postponement was a result of unforeseen circumstances.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this postponement may have caused and greatly value your understanding,” Nangombe added.
