Dippenaar sentenced to 15 years imprisonment in landmark case

SWAKOPMUND, 23 AUG (NAMPA) – Magistrate Gaynor Poulton has sentenced Jandre Dippenaar to 15 years in prison on six counts of murder in connection with a motor vehicle accident that occurred nearly 10 years ago.
This marks the first time in Namibia that someone is found guilty of murder for causing a fatal car accident.
On the first and second charges which were reckless and negligent driving, the 41-year-old Dippenaar received fines of N.dollars...
